COFFEE INCREASES THE INSULIN SENSITIVITY IN TYPE II DIABETES THUS REDUCES BLOOD SUGAR

Researchers found that type 2 diabetes patients who consumed three to four cups of coffee daily for more than 16 years reduced their blood glucose levels by 20% and their average uric acid levels by almost 15%, compared to an average of 5% and 10% decrease, respectively, among those without diabetes. The study in the International Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, based on 200 people with and without diabetes, showed that reduced blood glucose and uric acid levels helped improve insulin sensitivity.
